Started Riding My Bike Again

This is a movie I shot while riding my bike on the Rivanna Trail. It's a trail that runs along the Rivanna river her in Charlottesville. The video is a little shaky but it's still kinda cool to watch.

I love Van Gogh

Yes it's probably a cliche to love Van Gogh but the beauty and emotion in his paintings is so strong. It causes such a reaction in me everytime I see something he created.

Rivanna

Had a great walk with my daughter today. We took a stroll down the Rivanna trail. She was quite happy to be outside and running free.

The NY Phil will kick your ass!

I just downloaded 5 of Mahler's Symphonies last night from eMusic. All of them were recorded in 2009 with the New York Philharmonic conducted by Lorin Maazel. This orchestra is truly a collective rock star. The sound quality is unbelievable.

The Bean

I’ve never been to Chicago and I think that’s a little odd. I’ve traveled a lot in my life and Chicago is one of the places I’ve always wanted to go. Plus all my friends that have been here have really fallen in love with it. Kanye West (he’s from Chicago) just posted this on his blog. What an amazing sculpture! A true feat of humanity. 110 tons, 66 feet long and 33 feet high. Wow!

Why superbalanced?

As far back as I can remember my Dad would always say “You’ve got to find a balance in life.” True. True not a ground breaking philosophy. Much like “Everything in Moderation” and “take the Good With the Bad” etc. Needless to say the balance mantra really stuck with me and I think it’s been his most valuable lesson to me.

I’m a tenor saxophone player and I own a very special horn. It’s a Selmer made in Paris in 1953. It’s model name is Super Balanced Action. It’s one of he best saxophones out there in my opinion.
